What does the neighbourhood look like?
The area is a large estate with a lot of green space surrounded by houses. It is predominately a family estate.
Types of properties in neighbourhoods
Casterton and Lanehead consist mostly of two and three bedroom properties, the majority of which are owned by us. There are also some sheltered bungalows and 28 flats.
Kibble Bank consists mostly of three and four bedroom houses and sheltered flats. We own around 40% of the estate – the rest are privately rented properties and owner occupiers.
We also have one sheltered scheme at Royal Court, and ten bungalows on Harrison Street.
Things to do
There are several parks and play areas to relax with the family and keep the kids busy, including Thompson Park, Rakehead Park, and Prairie Playing Fields. Belvedere Cricket Club is also nearby.
Keep your youngsters busy at the Young People’s Service, Finsley Gate.
Nearby facilities (shops, restaurants, pubs, etc)
The area is near Burnley General Hospital. There are several restaurants and take aways nearby, including:

- Santa’s Pizza
If you have friends or relatives coming to visit for a short while, thay could stay in the nearby Premier Inn.
There are several chemists nearby for those medical essentials. The area is also near to a number of doctors’ and dental surgeries.
