We are proud to be a major sponsor of Burnley’s SPACE Bus. The SPACE Bus is run and managed by Participation Works. It provides a FREE safe place for young people (age groups – 7-20 years) to hang out and spend time with their friends.

It holds six computers with internet access, an iMac, an XBox One, an XBox 360, a Playstation 4, a Playstation 3, an iPad, a TV and DVD player, a music player and other fun educational activities.

The SPACE Bus is particularly effective in meeting the needs of young people in their own communities, breaking down territorial barriers and inability to access youth clubs due to closure of local facilities and previous behaviour issues.

Staff are there as positive role models, and can offer advice and support to young people on a variety of issues, e.g. homework support, CV advice, job applications, alcohol and drugs, and much more.

The bus operates four nights a week: Wednesday & Thursday, 5.30 – 9.30pm; Friday & Saturday, 6 – 10pm.

Follow the SPACE Bus on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to find out the locations. For more information, email spaceyouthbus@me.com or call 01282 411182. You can also visit www.theparticipationworks.co.uk
