Calico Homes has teamed up with YES Energy Solutions to bring free, practical energy advice to the Burnley community this July.
YES Energy Solutions’ Mobile Advice Centre (MAC) will be visiting Valley Street Community Centre from 10am to 3pm on Friday 3 July to offer friendly, face-to-face support to help customers cut their energy bills, stay warm at home, and make simple, energy‑saving changes.
The Mobile Advice Centre is a specially designed van, delivered in partnership with Cadent, providing personalised advice and support right in the community. Whether you’re feeling the pressure of rising energy costs or just want tips on making your home more efficient, help will be on hand.
Residents who drop in can get:
- Free, personalised advice on improving energy efficiency and lowering bills
- A free energy advice pack, including handy gadgets to help reduce energy use
- Information on government funding for insulation and renewable technology
- Help signing up to the Priority Services Register for extra support during power or gas outages
- Referrals to additional support schemes, including free gas safety services for those eligible
Some residents may also qualify for free carbon monoxide alarms and “Heat the Person” packs, which include items like blankets and hot water bottles to help keep warm during colder months.
There’s no need to book; just drop in on the day and have a chat with the team. Anyone from local communities is welcome to attend.
This event is part of our ongoing work with local organisations to offer practical help, strengthen communities, and support residents with the challenges of rising living costs.
