Safety
Everyone deserves a safe, healthy home.
Awaab’s Law strengthens the rights of social housing residents and sets clear expectations for how landlords respond when serious hazards are reported in the home. It originally focused on damp and mould and now covers a wider range of safety risks including cold homes, overheating, electrical hazards, fire risks, structural concerns, falls, and some hygiene and pest issues.
This page is here to help you find the right information about keeping your home safe and what to do. If you’re worried that something in your home could affect your health or safety, tell us as soon as possible.
