Supporting our communities during ASB Awareness Week

Calico Homes is proudly supporting ASB Awareness Week, alongside organisations across the country, to raise awareness of anti-social behaviour and the impact it can have on individuals and communities.

By being part of the communities we serve, we know issues such as noise nuisance, vandalism, intimidation and other forms of anti-social behaviour can affect people’s wellbeing and their enjoyment of where they live.

Throughout the week (29 June-5 July), we’ll be out in our neighbourhoods meeting customers, working with partner organisations and taking part in a range of activities focused on community safety. It’s an opportunity to talk to people about the support available, listen to concerns and encourage open conversations about the issues that matter most locally.

ASB Awareness Week also serves as an important reminder that anti-social behaviour should never be accepted as something people simply have to live with. National research shows that many people who experience or witness anti-social behaviour choose not to report it, often because they are unsure who to contact or don’t believe anything will change.

Reporting anti-social behaviour is one of the most effective ways customers can help us tackle it. We understand that some people may feel nothing will change, but if problems aren’t reported, we won’t know they’re happening and can’t take action.

That’s why we’re continuing to improve the ways customers can get in touch with us. Soon, customers will be able to report ASB through the Calico Connect app, providing a quick and convenient way to raise concerns and helping us ensure reports are directed to the right team as quickly as possible.

Creating safe communities is a shared responsibility. By listening to our customers, strengthening local partnerships and continuing to tackle issues that affect people’s quality of life, we can help make our neighbourhoods better places to live for everyone.

We’ll be sharing updates from our ASB Awareness Week activities across our social media channels throughout the week. We look forward to seeing customers at our events and continuing the conversations that help us build stronger communities together.
