We’re heading back out into our neighbourhoods this month, with our next Neighbourhoods Day taking place around Kibble Bank and Casterton Avenue on Tuesday 22 September.
Between 10am and 12pm, around 30 Calico Homes colleagues will be out and about speaking with customers, listening to what they have to say about the area and finding out what’s important to them.
We want to hear the good and the bad. What do you like about your neighbourhood? What’s working well? What could be better? Is there anything you’d like us to focus on in the future?
The information we gather will help shape future neighbourhood plans, making sure local priorities and concerns are reflected in the work we do.
Customers will also have the chance to complete a short survey to share their views and tell us more about their experience of living in the area.
Our latest Neighbourhoods Day follows a successful visit to Padiham in May. One of the biggest things we learned from speaking directly with customers was that what we think people are concerned about isn’t always the same as what they’re experiencing day to day.
That’s why talking directly with customers is so important.
Calico Homes’ Neighbourhood Coordinator Amber Howorth spoke of the importance of Neighbourhoods Day for all involved, saying: “Neighbourhoods Day is all about being present in our communities and meeting local customers.
“We want to hear about what matters the most in the neighbourhood, what is working well, and where we can make improvements.
“Your views will help shape future services and ensure we focus on what is most important to our customers.”
We know the people who live in our neighbourhoods know them better than anyone else. By getting out into the community and speaking face to face, we can build a better picture of what’s important, learn from local experiences and make sure customers have a genuine say in shaping the future of their neighbourhoods.
