We welcomed customers into their brand-new homes on May Tree Close in Harle Syke this week.
The high-quality affordable housing development consists of 9x two-bedroom houses and 8x three-bedroom houses, each with dedicated off-road parking and large rear private gardens.
The homes have been let in accordance with our local lettings policy, giving priority to those who have a specific local connection. The new residents include a mixture of families, professionals, and couples to establish a well-balanced, positive community.
The location of the homes on May Tree Close offers residents a beautiful place to live, while being close to local amenities such as shops, local transport links, schools, nurseries, and places of worship.
All of our moves are carried out in a COVID-secure way, adhering to all regulations, social distancing guidelines and risk assessments to ensure the safety of all residents and staff involved.
We have invested £3,174,000 into the project – this includes a £765,000 grant provided by a Homes England. Through our regular development and regeneration projects, investing into the local community and providing affordable homes is a top priority.
We received positive feedback on the day, with new resident Natalie saying, “I love my new home. This will make a massive difference to mine, and my families, lives.”
Residents Kirby and Ryan said how honoured they were to get a new home on May Tree Close, with neighbours Lynsey and David commenting on how they already loved their new home.
Mark Beach, Managing Director at Calico Homes, said: “We know how important it is to keep investing and providing affordable homes in our communities. We look forward to welcoming our residents and wish them all the best in their new homes.”
