An update on Dovestone Gardens

Do you know we are doing monthly consultation groups We want to give you, our customersthe opportunity to feedback and share views on the development of Dovestone Gardens at Burnley General Hospital.

So far, we have consulted with customers on what makes a good care service’. There was a good discussion about the positive attributes needed in a carer including; knowledge, personality, skills and experience, recognising what an important role in someone’s life a carer has. This feedback is important to us and has been taken on board when creating the Syncora Care service, focusing on what actions can be taken to providing the specific service for Dovestone Gardens.

Consultation group

Updates on construction have been provided by site managers from Ring Stones who were able to detail the progression and share some impressive drone footage to show the changes taking place. Customers have been asked what they want to be consulted on moving forward from landscaping, telecoms and telecare to community space and internal decorations of the communal areas. This response will shape when and how these sessions will be rolled out. Keep an eye out for what’s happening next and come along to get involved.

Our next consultation group will be held on 30th May at Briercliffe Road Church, 4-5pm which will be a reflection on the consultation groups so far. To confirm your attendance, please email lynne_participationworks@yahoo.co.uk.

Construction is well underway for Dovestone Gardens. All piles are now installed and last month, Ring Stones installed the largest ever crane it has had on a site. Steel structures are currently being installed and brick work has started as the structure of the development starts to take shape.

Development of the site will continue throughout May with the part ground floor installation of the lower ground to begin with, and superstructure masonry works to commence.
