Out in the Community: Supporting OPAL Play at Holy Trinity CofE Primary!

New starters from Dovestone Garden and Community Engagement Office Emmy had a fantastic day out in the community, supporting Holy Trinity CofE Primary School with their OPAL Play initiative.

OPAL Play is a brilliant way to turn everyday discarded items into creative and imaginative play opportunities for children. By supporting initiatives like this, we’re also working towards our Going Green Goals, helping the community achieve theirs by promoting sustainability and reuse.

It was a great chance to build relationships, strengthen community connections, and see the positive impact of teamwork in action!

Striking up conversations - creating happy homes

The Supported Housing Team enjoyed connecting with residents at bowling, using interactive pictorial boards to spark meaningful conversations about how we can continue creating happy homes.

The energy was fantastic, and the feedback we’re receiving is invaluable in helping us shape and improve our services. A big thank-you to everyone involved in making this event happen, especially Kashifa Mubarak and to our wonderful customers for sharing their thoughts.

Together, we’re building thriving communities, one strike at a time!

Recommendations and actions from our Service Scrutiny Board

Here are the recommendations they came up with, and the action we have taken so far…
