Properties across the Belvedere and Burnley Wood areas of Burnley have seen a significant improvement in appearance and energy efficiency thanks to a programme of works from Calico.
In partnership with British Gas, Calico is carrying out the work with Ring Stones to 447 homes across the estates – work is also currently ongoing in the Turf Moor area.
The work has transformed the appearance of the estates, and will improve the thermal comfort and energy efficiency of the properties, resulting in significant savings on fuel bills for customers.
Funding for the programme has been obtained through the government’s Energy Company Obligation (ECO) initiative to complete a range of works, including:
- External wall insulation
- Replacement fascias, soffit and bargeboards
- Replacement rain water goods.
Owner occupiers on Belvedere and Turf Moor have also been offered the opportunity to benefit from the energy savings works.
Lisa Bell, Calico’s Property Services Manager, said:
“The works are progressing really well and have had a really positive impact on the overall look of the estates.
“Our customers are extremely happy with the works completed and have advised that they are already feeling a difference, as the properties are warmer and noise pollution has been reduced.
“Customers will also feel the benefit of significantly reduced fuel bills.”
