Introducing our new grounds maintenance team

Over the last 12 months, customers have been telling us that they are unhappy with the quality of the grounds maintenance service in some of our neighbourhoods (this feedback has been received directly from customer complaints and via our Make it Happen Survey).

We listened carefully to the feedback and agreed that all our grounds maintenance will be delivered directly by Calico from spring 2024. Currently, most of our ground maintenance is delivered by an external contractor.

We believe this change means we will deliver a much better service, improve the look and feel of our neighbourhoods and as a result, will help customers be happier with the service.

Back in November 2023, we asked the Customer Experience Network to open a vote to choose the team’s new name. We’d like to say thank you to everyone who voted, we’re pleased to announce that the team will be called ‘The Clean and Green Team’.

We’re currently recruiting for the team and we’re encouraging people who live in our neighbourhoods to apply. Everything is currently in place to introduce the new team in spring this year. Once the Clean and Green Team start their work across our neighbourhoods, we’ll make sure all customers are kept in the loop!
