In a big move towards going more digital, we’re in the final stages of introducing a digital sign-up process for new tenants.
Before, new customers had to attend an hour-long appointment at our office to understand their tenancy agreement and complete paperwork. This process posed some challenges, including the need for travel, finding appointment times that work for everyone, mobility issues, and having to take time off work. Also, the paperwork involved is not environmentally friendly.
Taking note of these challenges, we’re taking steps to make getting set up with us more accessible and sustainable.
What’s changing?
- Digital paperwork:All new tenancy paperwork is being converted to Adobe Sign, allowing customers to receive and review documents via email. This means they can read and sign the paperwork from the comfort of their own homes, at a time that suits them best.
- Engaging new tenancy video:We are in the process of creating a new tenancy video that will bring key parts of the tenancy agreement to life. This video will cover essential topics such as how to report repairs, how to pay rent, and how to participate in the Customer Experience Network.
Filmed at our main office and in one of our neighbourhoods, the video aims to be engaging and informative, clearly outlining our responsibilities as a landlord and the responsibilities of our customers. The filming is scheduled for early October, and the video will be sent to all new customers and made available on the Calico website.
We are thrilled to see the progress of this project and are aiming to have it live early 2025. It will not only make things easier for you, but it also helps us be more sustainable by reducing paper used.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to innovate and improve our services for you!
