Calico Homes have been carrying out essential work to protect historic Burnley landmark. Work has been carried out on the grade 2 listed building, Healey Mount Spire on Manchester Road in Burnley.
A former methodist chapel built in 1905, the Church was demolished in 1974 but the tower and spire were retained. Healey Mount Spire is now one of Burnley’s most identifiable landmarks.
The spire is situated next to Calico Homes properties on Healey Mount. Repairs have been carried out to ensure the structure of the building is safe.
SSH conservation who specialise in the repairs of historic buildings have been appointed to carry out specialist work.
