Investment works
We’re working hard to make sure homes stay warm and safe for the future.
To do this, we’re spending more than £25 million over the next 5 years on our planned works to make homes better. The planned investment works will target areas identified by customers in a survey of over 1250 tenants.
What are investment works?
Investment work is more like upgrading your home before things start to wear out or break. We plan these in advance to keep everything running smoothly. We carry out inspections on your home so that we’re checking and updating things before any problems arise, ensuring everything is safe and works well for a longer time.
What does our investment work include?
-
- Guttering and fascia boards
- Building and external works
- Improving energy efficiency
- Kitchens
- Bathrooms
- Treatment for damp, mould and condensation
- Roofing
- Windows & doors
What is the difference between investment work, and repairs & maintenance?
The difference between the two is pretty easy: Responsive repairs means fixing things when they go wrong, whilst investment work prevents problems before they happen, keeping everything in tip-top shape for the future.
Over the next 12-months, our upcoming investment work will include:
Replacement windows for properties which need them in the following areas: Briercliffe, Plane Tree, Anglesey Avenue, Padiham.
Roofing works (where needed) in West View and Padiham.
Door replacements (where needed) in the following areas: West View, Briercliffe, Plane Tree, Anglesey Avenue and Padiham.
Plus, we’re continuing ongoing investment works for properties (where identified as needing works completing). This includes:
- Replacing older kitchens
- Replacing older bathrooms
- Replacing failing boilers
We’re also continuing to work on fixing damp, mould and condensation issues.
